Amazing what you find when you start looking for it. This is a fun group of pictures! I remember a photography course assignment: Go outside and find blue things. It was the dead of winter and the place was frozen over, bleak, cold and colorless. Well, until I really started looking!

Love the beauty of the red flowers against the lush green and the gorgeous sky! The water looks so inviting in the 2nd shot. The swans are outstanding too.

You really did an outstanding job on your reds. Each photo is unique in its own way. Wonderful post filled with so many different sights.

Great job with the reds! Just realized I have red kites and black swan pictures taken in New Zealand too! But not as good as yours!

Love the first picture most. May be the red in it. Ok all three pictures have red. I love all three :D

The black swans are elegant creatures!

DID SOMEONE MENTION SCARLET?

Did someone mention scarlet
Or was it red I heard?
Perhaps it was a varlet
Or a vermilion bird
That shouted out the color
That’s dearest to my heart.
(It makes me feel much duller
If red is not a part.)

This is such a fab series. I think the first one has to be my favorite thought all three are really special in their own ways. Great work. Wonderful captures.
