Forgotten World Highway--part 2

There was lichen everywhere!!



These geese were posing for my Weekly Top Shot!

The rain had waterfalls overflowing.


These are steam boilers that were used to mill wood by Arthur Fazackerley.

The shape of the land here intrigues me.

LIchen is good -- it shows a healthy forest. Or at least that is what a park ranger in Florida told us. If so, this post is blooming with health. And it is so beautiful and green. I love the shape of the rollilng hills too.

Lichen is certainly an indicator of clean air - there must have been rather a lot of it before we started polluting everything. You're right - the geese shot is very fine.

Lichen grows where there is a lot of damp and I think north facing.Still lovely shots even though the weather was not good.

These are absolutely wonderful shots of the lush and vibrant land... hard to say which IS the top shot here; but I guess the geese get the garter!!! YAM xx

I see what you mean about the shape and lay of the land. The waterfall is beautiful. Lichen--I wondered what was growing on everything!
